Chevron New Zealand, the previous operator of the Caltex brand, has been acquired by Z Energy. Consequently, Z Energy now operates the Caltex network in New Zealand under a license from Chevron International.

NZ Fuel Cards offers both Off-Pump Price and Off-National Price options for BP, Mobil and Z fuel cards. When we set up your fuel card account, we will look at which pricing structure is best for you in your area, and choose the most appropriate structure to help you get the best discounts. The majority of the time, this is Off-Pump pricing. Sometimes Off-National Price can be better (eg. at BP Truck stops, some regional areas, Premium petrol grades). But, what is the difference between Off Pump Price Vs Off National Price?
Off Pump Price is exactly as it sounds; a fixed discount off the pump price for every litre of fuel purchased. Simple. For example, a discount of 8c off the pump price of $2.029 equates to $1.949 per litre purchase price.
National Pricing is where there is a single national price set for fuel across NZ by each of the fuel suppliers. This price, like pump pricing, fluctuates. NZ Fuel Cards then provides a discount off this set price.
In most instances we advise “off-pump” discounts, as the customer knows what they are getting every time. But there are circumstances where Off-National Price offers a better discount. For example, if you were purchasing Ultimate Diesel at BP in Wellington during May 2023, you would have saved between 10c and 20c per litre with our Off-National Price discount, compared to 8c with Off-Pump discount. Similarly, with our National Price discount at most BP Truck Stops around NZ you will save 16c per litre, compared to 8c with our off pump offer.

Great news! We’ve added credit card as a payment option and you can now pay for your NZ Fuel Cards invoice with your credit card.
Existing customers can contact our friendly team if they want to change their current direct debit payment option to a credit card payment option. New customers can select their card as their payment option during the application process. When you pay your NZ Fuel Cards invoice by credit card, and you opt to pay with your Airpoints card, you will also earn flight rewards. Please refer to your card provider for Airpoints T&Cs.
You can choose at any time to change to direct debit payments, just contact our amazing Customer Service team who will help you with this process.

NZ Fuel Cards allow you to select cards across major suppliers like BP, Mobil, and Z. Many of our customers find it helpful to have at least 2 cards per person, depending on which stations or truck stops are most convenient for their routes. All transactions from your selected cards will appear on a single, consolidated invoice, making it easier to track and manage your fuel expenses.
Once you’ve decided which fuel card(s) will best suit your needs, you can complete our online application form. This includes providing your business details, contact details and selecting your preferred fuel card(s). You can also specify any restrictions, such as limits on product types like petrol, diesel, or shop items.
During the application process, you’ll be asked to select a payment option. NZ Fuel Cards offer convenient payment methods like direct debit from your bank account or credit card. This automatic payment system ensures you don’t have to manually handle invoices, keeping the process smooth and efficient.
After completing your online application and submitting it, a team member will start processing your application. This process is quick and ensures you’re ready to start saving as soon as possible.
Once approved, your fuel cards will be dispatched to you and should arrive within 7-10 working days. The cards are sent via Courier Post, and a signature will be required upon delivery. If you’re unavailable to sign, your cards will be taken to the nearest NZ Post depot for collection.
As soon as you receive your fuel card(s), they’re ready to use—there’s no activation required. Simply enter the PIN you provided during the application process, and you can start purchasing fuel immediately.
There are no joining fees, account fees, or transaction fees for NZ Fuel Cards. The only fees are a $1.53 (incl. GST) card fee per month, per card, and a $4.95 (incl. GST) courier fee for your card delivery.
